I probably shouldn't neglect this blog so much. These days I consider my tumblr to be my blog. Ha. And it is, I suppose, a good visual representation of me, whereas this is more of a textual, literary version. Hm. Interesting.
Not sure exactly where I left off on my last post~ [goes to see] ~holyman has it been a while (sorry).
Most recently, I moved to a new room, still on campus. It's a little bigger, has a bigger fridge, a bigger sink (but no counter-space), and is the handicap room, so my shower is massive. The downside is that in the winter, it's said to get freezing cold, so I'm going to have to get an extra heater. Owell. That can be managed. I do so enjoy oversize comfy sweaters. It was little sad leaving my old room. I really liked having the sun stream through in the mornings (it was South-facing), but I am not going to miss my smelly, awful quadmates. Goodbye fish-oil-and-dirtiness. Hello Canadian, chill, clean roomies.
I'm currently addicted to Hoodie Allen. I'd never even heard of him until a few days ago, and I love every singe one of his songs. Small Town is the best.
Also, Be a King by e-dubble is amazing. I'm a addicted to Funky Hip-Hop and R&B right now. Haha. First time for everything. . .
Last weekend I took a weekend away with a couple friends. We went camping and hiking in Wells Gray Provincial Park, which is in BC. Amazing place. Lots of mosquitoes, hot-dogs, and breathtaking waterfalls. Here are some pics:
My sister Melissa is supposed to visit me next week after she returns from Wanderlust in Whistler. I'm very excited to see her. I see her less than anyone in my family. :P It's also her birthday today, so shout-out: Happy Birthday to my seester. ♥
I also went for a hike up Kenna Cartwright, which is the closest mountain to town. Takes about 2 hours to get to the top. I went with Jen (who'm I went to Wells Gray with), and a new guy. His name is Robert, and he's from Holland. And good lord, he is so effing attractive. Too bad he's younger than me. Handsome and fuck, and that Dutch accent is dope. On the other hand, there is two more handsome men around now. Jeezuz. Two different kinds and looks and types, but both equally attractive, and single. We'll see what happens! --lol

“You’re in a car with a beautiful boy, and he won’t tell you that he loves you, but he loves you. And you feel like you’ve done something terrible, like robbed a liquor store, or swallowed pills, or shoveled yourself a grave in the dirt, and you’re tired. You’re in a car with a beautiful boy, and you’re trying not to tell him that you love him, and you’re trying to choke down the feeling, and you’re trembling, but he reaches over and he touches you, like a prayer for which no words exist, and you feel your heart taking root in your body, like you’ve discovered something you didn’t even have a name for.”Can't this just be me, please?

I am feeling a little weird today. Everything has frustrated me. From my stupid towel falling onto the wet bathroom floor, to finding hair in my bagels, my headphone chord getting tangled, mosquitos in my room, it's all been a complete mess. The upside is that the internet is working great today, and Jennifer gave me a whole bag of fresh blueberries because she loves me. Yay for fruit and friends. I think I'll tumblr a bit and make myself love life again. Perhaps play some FFR as well. Get that stress out. May post later.

Every day, stare at the Blogger link in my bookmarks bar and I think to myself, "Kate, go post. You really should". And so I click it. And I click create new post and the blank page opens up before me. And I stare at it. Close that window, and open tumblr instead. Then, a day or so later, I'll actually post here. Like today. Tada~!
Last week was......average. Aside from the night I made brownies at 3am. Deeeelish.
Monday was uneventfull. WAIT! I definitely found a free toaster oven on the side of the road. And made shake n' bake chicken. Oh yeah.
Saturday night was insane. There was a rock-metal band from Calgary here for a Red Bull concert at the beach, and I went with a few friends whom I never really went anywhere with. The band was so-so, but I had a good time. Then after, to my utter shock and delight, we made friends with the band members and kidnapped them to a house, where we smoked copious amounts of weed, got totally wasted, and played with their pet snake, while headbanging. It was wicked.
With the information gleaned from that last paragraph, you can only assume (and correctly) that I spent Sunday in bed.
Yesterday was uneventfull.
Today I'm planning on accompanying Natalie to her hair appointment, in order for her not to be completely alone with the snarky hairdresser and her so-claimed 'style expertise'. I'm a safeguard against blue hair and crooked bangs. And I'm going to take it very seriously.
(blue hair would be awesome, though. for me. not her.)
And then tonight, after heading to the beach to see Maria in the Shower perform (OMGIKNOWIT'SGOINGTOBEAWESOME), hopefully, REALLY hopefully, I will have a Skype date with Kim! You better be there, gurl. I miss you.
